Dr. Kaiyi Pang attended Simon Fraser University for her undergraduate studies in Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology. She graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2015 with her Doctor of Optometry degree on the Dean's Honour list. Along with her experience on her externships, she has had the opportunity to volunteer on an optometric mission trip to Romania, providing free eye care and glasses to the underprivileged. As she loves to travel, she hopes to participate in more in the future! Originally from Burnaby, BC, Dr. Pang is excited to be in Red Deer delivering quality eye care to her patients of all ages, including primary care, ocular disease management and contact lens fittings. She is fluent in English and can speak conversational Mandarin and French.
Dr. Blake Dornstauder
Dr. Blake Dornstauder attended the University of Alberta from 2004-2010, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Physiology, and Masters of Science in Ophthalmology. In 2014 he graduated from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with Honors and Professional Distinction. During his last year of Optometry School, Dr. Dornstauder completed an externship in Bethel, Alaska. He is currently a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a member of the Optometry Examining Board of Canada. He also volunteers yearly with Canadian Vision Care in Jamaica, providing the underprivileged with access to eyecare, including cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment, and free eyeglasses. In his spare time, he is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys golf, yoga, and cooking.
