Dr. Kaiyi Pang attended Simon Fraser University for her undergraduate studies in Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology. She graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2015 with her Doctor of Optometry degree on the Dean's Honour list. Along with her experience on her externships, she has had the opportunity to volunteer on an optometric mission trip to Romania, providing free eye care and glasses to the underprivileged. As she loves to travel, she hopes to participate in more in the future! Originally from Burnaby, BC, Dr. Pang is excited to be in Red Deer delivering quality eye care to her patients of all ages, including primary care, ocular disease management and contact lens fittings. She is fluent in English and can speak conversational Mandarin and French.
Dr. Qin was originally from Edmonton and attended undergraduate courses at the University of Alberta before achieving her Doctor of Optometry and Master of Education at Pacific University. She completed her residency program at Gundersen Health System focusing on ocular disease and neuro-rehabilitation. During her studies, Dr. Qin developed a vast knowledge in detection, treatment and management of glaucoma, diabetic and hypertensive retinopathy, cataracts, macular degeneration and other ocular diseases. At Gundersen Health System, she also worked closely with physical medicine and rehabilitation, neurology, neuropsychology, physical therapy and ophthalmology managing complex vision issues after patients suffered various brain injuries. Outside of work, she enjoys trail walking and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Rowland was born and raised right here in central Alberta, growing up in Ponoka before attending the University of Calgary for her undergrad in Natural Science. She graduated in 2020 from the University of Waterloo with her Doctor of Optometry (OD). Dr. Rowland's interests include paediatrics and contact lenses, particularly specialty contact lenses. In her free time, she enjoys biking, running, and skiing. Recently, she has taken up golfing so you might catch her on the golf course looking for her ball in the trees. Stephanie is extremely excited to start serving the community that supported her throughout the years. Her mission is to devote her time and effort to providing quality, patient-focused eye care that will exceed your expectations. She is looking forward to getting to know you and answering all your ocular health questions in a friendly and knowledgeable manner.
